For Cybersecurity Awareness Month this October, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is highlighting how cybersecurity is an important part of patient safety when it comes to medical devices.

Medical devices are intended to improve health and help people live longer, healthier lives. Patients should feel assured about the safety and security of their medical devices, knowing the FDA is proactive and works with manufacturers throughout the entire lifecycle of a product.
