I made this for the Sept 20th Monday night Packer game. I was shocked to see I had never put this recipe up. I have been making this for most of my life! So quick, easy and yummy!
Microwave Caramel Corn or Puff Corn
1 c brown sugar
1 stick butter
1/4 c corn syrup
1/2 t salt
1/2 t baking soda
1 t vanilla
4 qts popped corn or two 5 oz bags of puffed corn(cheese or plain)
Combine all ingredients except baking soda and vanilla and popcorn. Can do in microwave or on cooktop. Bring to a boil and boil for 3 minutes. Take off heat and add baking soda and vanilla. Stir well.
Place popcorn or puff corn in a brown paper bag. Pour in hot syrup a bit at a time and shake well each time.
Place in microwave and cook for 1 minute and 15 sec. Take out and shake and cook another 1 minute and 15 seconds.
Pour on to a cookie sheet and cool.
